Editorial Policy & Testing Standards
How we benchmark IPTV services, hardware performance, and network stability with strict empirical independence.
1. Empirical Testing Rigor
All hardware and software benchmarks published by OmniStream USA are conducted across synchronized test benches connected to standard consumer broadband tiers (Comcast Xfinity 400 Mbps, AT&T Fiber 1 Gbps, and Charter Spectrum 500 Mbps).
We deploy packet capture analyzers (Wireshark) to evaluate video jitter, TCP retransmissions, HLS manifest response times, and MPEG-TS stream continuity during peak evening broadcast hours (7:00 PM – 11:00 PM EST) and major sporting events.
2. Editorial Independence
We do not accept monetary compensation or sponsored reviews in exchange for inflated provider rankings. When reviewing competitor networks or hardware players, our editorial team adheres to the following criteria:
- Uptime Auditing: Continuous automated ICMP and HTTP HEAD polling every 60 seconds over a minimum 90-day window.
- Frame Rate Verification: Hardware video capture verification of true 60 FPS sports broadcasts vs. interpolated 30 FPS feeds.
- EPG Integrity: Checking completeness of XMLTV program schedules across US local network affiliates.
- Support Responsiveness: Measuring average ticket turnaround times for credential provisioning and connection fixes.
3. Ongoing Corrections & Audits
The IPTV streaming ecosystem evolves rapidly. When a provider updates server architecture or experiences prolonged downtime, our review scores and matrices are updated within 48 hours to ensure consumers receive accurate, up-to-date guidance.
